Tea-Labelled Silk Jar

These elegant jars provide a refined and secure method of storing tea, and make a stately fixture in any cabinet, kitchen shelf, or tea stash.

Made solely of snow-white porcelain, each has been hand-crafted by potters in Jingdezhen, the Chinese 'Porcelain Capital', where ceramics are "as thin as paper, as white as jade, as bright as a mirror, and as sound as a bell." Sturdy and airtight, the lid carefully sanded to fit the body, the jars protect tea from light, dust, and excess oxygen, and do not absorb odors.

We used these very jars in our erstwhile teahouse, where we had them painted with calligraphy for each of the teas in our initial stock. Now since they have been merely collecting (tea) dust and some of our customers have asked for the jars with the hand-painted labels, we decided to offer them to anyone who wishes. Each of the labels is unique Chinese or Taiwanese tea name, and will be randomly selected for a given order. Of course, you can fill them with whichever tea you wish!
