Though one of the youngest of the major tea categories, only having been developed at the turn of the 17th century, black tea's popularity can sometimes obscure the surprising degree of variety available. In this set, we offer a selection of our black teas for your enlightenment and enjoyment, including malty and floral Chinese black teas as well as an unusual, fruity Taiwanese one.

For best results in gongfu cha, brew in the traditional gaiwan or in a Yixing teapot. Too high a water temperature would burn the leaves, resulting in a bitter taste.
