Jasmine green tea Superior 2026

This jasmine tea from Fujian is made with a fine spring-picked green tea scented with fresh jasmine blossoms during summer.

Over several consecutive nights, the tea leaves are layered with the flowers and gently turned, allowing them to absorb the jasmine fragrance gradually. The result is clear, natural and persistent, but never heavy or overpowering.

At first sip, there’s fresh jasmine and a nectar-like sweetness. With each infusion, softer notes of rice milk and spring flowers appear, and the tea stays calm, gentle and sweet, with a thick body and a noticeable stability over the infusions. The jasmine remains present throughout the infusions, but never masks the character of the leaves underneath.

The base tea is easy to notice, with the fresh, slightly savoury character of a good Chinese green tea. Subtle vegetal notes and a mild mineral edge give it more depth, followed by a soft sweetness in the finish. The mouthfeel is smooth and silky, with a quiet elegance that is somewhat reminiscent of Bai Hao Yin Zhen.

A refined and well-balanced jasmine tea, combining a high-quality base with a fragrant but restrained jasmine scent. It is aromatic and expressive, yet light enough to remain pleasant over many infusions.

  • Water temperature: 80°C

For best results in gongfu cha, brew in a tall glass and fill with water before adding the leaves. Too high water temperature would burn the leaves, resulting in bitter taste.
