Lu'an Gua Pian BIO

 

Tasting our Lu'an Gua Pian is the pleasant experience of a full, brisk green tea, with a delicate velvety texture.

This tea is produced by an organic tea factory specialized in green and yellow tea. They produce just three kinds of teas; beside Lu'an Gua Pian also Huoshan Huang Ya as yellow tea and green tea.

Most first-grade green teas are plucked when the leaves are still buds or did just open. For Luan Gua Pian the buds are not picked. Spread leaves are selected instead.

The leaves of Luan Gua Pian have a dull, grayish colour. They are rolled up along the thin stem, resulting in a slender shape.

After plucking, the leaves are briefly wok-roasted to stop oxidation and cool down overnight. The next day, they are baked two or three times to dry completely.

Preparation
IN THE TEAPOT
  • Quantity: 6g / 500ml
  • Water temperature: 80°C
  • Infusion time: 4-5 min
GONGFU CHA METHOD
  • Quantity: 2g / 150ml
  • Water temperature: 80°C
  • 3 infusions: 60, 60, 90 sec

For best results in gongfu cha, brew in a tall glass and fill with water before adding the leaves. Too high water temperature would burn the leaves, resulting in bitter taste.
