Duyun Maojian

Soft and warm, it caresses the palate with a velvety medley of flavours, evoking a freshwater mineral pool in a forest grove: a crisp vegetality resembles the cucumber note of Anji Bai Cha, yet is slightly nuttier, like raw filberts, almonds, or soy. A delicate fruitiness transmutes cucumber to a green melon aroma, making this a tea both soothing and refreshing. After disappearing so rapidly from our shelves last year, we are bringing you an even better quality of this erstwhile imperial tribute, frequently named as one of the ten famous Chinese teas.

Preparation

IN THE TEAPOT
  • Quantity: 6g / 500ml
  • Water temperature: 80°C
  • Infusion time: 4 min
GONGFU CHA METHOD
  • Quantity: 2g / 150ml
  • Water temperature: 80°C
  • 3 infusions: 60, 60, 90 sec

For best results in gongfu cha, brew in a tall glass and fill with water before adding the leaves. Too high water temperature would burn the leaves, resulting in bitter taste.
