Sencha Sakuramidori

Round and fruity with notes of steamed zucchini and passionfruit, it's not surprising that Kawane, where this sencha is from, has earned a reputation for its teas. With narrow valleys providing natural shade during misty mornings, it offers an ideal environment for bringing out the best flavors in green tea, as this example demonstrates. To top it off, the Sakuramidori cultivar generates a full-flavored body along with its namesake cherry blossom aroma. If you have hitherto found sencha monotonous, this may be the one to open up your green tea world.
