Guzhu Zi Sun
Guzhu Zi Sun, or Purple Bamboo Shoot, is a green tea from Zhejiang, China, with a rich history.
First mentioned in the Chinese book The Classic of Tea by the tea sage Lu Yu all the way back in the 8th century, this tea has changed vastly since then; no longer compressed into discs, it is now more recognisable as a green tea. The vibrant leaves smell sweet, combining chestnuts and haricots verts for a classic green tea aroma, while the taste is equally iconic, blending subtle vegetal notes with the distinct aroma of ripe mango. Combined with its smooth mouthfeel, this is a very refreshing green tea!
