- Tea Knowledge
This special teacup features a painted red-and-white carp in relief swimming at the bottom. Projecting from its porcelain surface, it is an amusing sight, but feels a little silly at the moment: it is awaiting murky dark tea, or perhaps a pond-coloured green tea to give it something to swim in. Then its bright form will stand out from its surroundings, and make for a charming gong fu cha experience. The wide cup with its s-shaped profile holds a little more than the average cha bei, making it an excellent choice for tea time with one to two people, and a surprising treat for any guests.
