Moss Cup

The glittering teal, almost emerald glaze of these teacups recalls freshest moss spilling out from a forest waterfall. Poised on a little white foot, the double-sigmoid profile swells upwards to allow a pool of steaming tea into its well. Cleverly tapered walls keep the center of gravity low and so surprisingly balanced for the curved shape, which invites the tea drinker's hand to cup and sip. Alternating mottled and translucent patches give the surface a beautiful depth, and a network of eggshell craquelure may darken through use, adding further dimension with time.

Please note: as these are unique, handmade pieces, there is some variation in shape and significant variation in glazing from the pictured example.
