Introduction to the fascinating world of Pu'er
Sunday, 4th March, 4:00 pm 20 €
Maybe the oldest of all teas, Pu'er is fairly unknown in the western world and yet so highly valued by the tea connoisseurs.
Through the tasting of several Pu'er we will appreciate together the difference between teas from ancient trees (古树, Gushu) and those from young bushes, between aged and young leaves, as well as the influence of the terroir on the taste profile. We will learn more about the difference of "sheng" and "shu" and the ageing process of the tea. We demonstrate how to get along with the tea cake (pressed tea) and how to gain a good cup of tea out of it.
